There’s nothing like the fresh air of the Laurentians to lift your spirits and put colour in your cheeks and a smile on your face.

In the winter, outdoor activities are plentiful at Estérel Resort. Just step outside to see the vast expanse waiting for you! Whether you’d like to stay near the resort or explore the surrounding area, here are a few ideas to make your outings memorable.

The Estérel Resort activity passport: the great outdoors just minutes from your suite!

Make your way to the Lido Activity Centre, the starting point for your winter adventures at Estérel Resort.

Get the activity passport for $40 per person, and for the duration of your stay, you’ll be able to rent skates, cross-country skis, and everything else you need to explore our lakes and forests.

The ice ring located just behind the resort is at your entire disposal for skating, and this will be joined by a mega-course connecting the rinks of the surrounding municipalities (approximately 8 km).

The activity passport also gives you access to Hors Limite (the Laurentian cross-country ski and snowshoe centre) and its trails, located one minute from the resort by car (five minutes on foot).

Once you’re there, the choices are plentiful! There are over 35 km of trails groomed for classic cross-country skiing (3 easy, 3 intermediate, 4 difficult and 1 very difficult) and 20 km of snowshoe trails (5).

Discover all manner of enchanting landscapes and enjoy the fresh air! If you’d like to explore a little further afield, Parc de la rivière Doncaster and Parc régional de la Forêt Ouareau are also great options for walking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, located less than 30 minutes from the resort.

For true enthusiasts, the P’tit Train du Nord, a multi-use trail that runs almost 234 km through the Laurentians, can be picked up less than 15 minutes from the resort by car.

Downhill skiing: les Sommets

Less than 20 minutes from Estérel Resort, you can visit one of the four les Sommets ski hills in the Pays-d’en-Haut, which are open despite the pandemic!

Tickets are very limited, so purchase yours online in advance to reserve your spot. If you haven’t done so, don’t worry—we have some for you! Talk to an Estérel Resort booking agent or reserve your SKI package now.
