MAÎTRE D'HÔTEL
Regular full-time position (40 hours/week)
Day, evening and weekend schedule
Compensation offered according to the salary scale
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise, train and coordinate the work of the staff under your responsibility
- Coordinate the various stages of service with the customer
- Maintain the performance of the sales points and the banquet service by being constantly present with the employees
- Follow up on internal communications within the team and with other departments
- Ensure optimal use of the sales points and maximize profitability
- Manage reservations and inventories
- Implement actions that promote mobilization and teamwork
- Inspect service areas on a daily basis and ensure the application of hygiene and sanitation as well as workplace health and safety standards
- Produce work schedules
- Monitor the various events in accordance with the room set-up and installation
- Participate in the organization of events and special evenings
- All other tasks necessary for the smooth running of operations
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in restaurant or hotel management
- Five (5) years of restaurant/banquet experience, including three (3) years of experience in a similar role
- Management experience in a unionized environment an asset
- Bilinguism
- Excellent knowledge of the Windows environment and of the Office suite
- Strong customer service skills
- Leadership, decision making and stress tolerance
- Strong ability to adapt in a constantly changing environment
